Section 11 Division IV recap October 8, 2013
Fans got a thrill when Danny Hughes and Mitch Identsohn connected against Mount Sinai. The longest such play in Section 11 Division IV this season, the connection resulted in 59 yards.
Stony Brook was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from 12th to ninth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Bears triumphed over Southampton 20-14.
Shoreham-Wading River's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hughes has thrown for 364 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Identsohn has 6 catches for 194 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when John Glenn takes on Babylon. At the moment, the Knights are in fifth, while the Panthers are in second.
Adding to the longest winning streak in Section 11 Division IV this week, Mattituck-Southold-Greenport beat Port Jefferson 33-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
