This season hasn't been kind to the Crooms Academy Panthers, who are still winless after their fourth game. They suffered a tough 46-23 loss at the hands of Taylor on Friday. Crooms Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Taylor apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Crooms Academy still got an impressive performance from Zoe Fulgencio, who scored 16 points. Fulgencio scored a full 69.6% of Crooms Academy's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Crooms Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Taylor, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
Crooms Academy will be playing at home against Mount Dora at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Taylor will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Crescent City at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
