Tyler Black turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than seven strikeouts on Thursday. He struck out eight batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He is becoming a predictor of St. John's Christian Academy's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't).

Looking ahead, Black and St. John's Christian Academy are taking a road trip to face off against Colleton Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
