Two dominant forwards in Malachi King and Durante Morton are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Harrison Raiders will be playing at home against the Westfield Shamrocks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, Harrison strolled past Lafayette Central Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 70-53. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Knights are ranked 246th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

King was his usual excellent self, going 13 for 18 on his way to 29 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024. Ray Gibson was another key player, putting up ten points and seven steals.
Meanwhile, Westfield had just enough and edged Mooresville out 58-55 on Saturday.
Westfield's win came from a few key players Harrison will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Morton, who went 7 of 12 en route to 22 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Drew Haffner, who went 5 for 11 to rack up 15 points and five boards.
Harrison has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points over those games. As for Westfield, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.
Tuesday's matchup is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Harrison has been crazy accurate this season, having nailed 49.5% of their shots per game. However, it's not like Westfield struggles in that department as they've drained 48.6% of their field goals this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Harrison lost to Westfield at home by a decisive 73-55 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Westfield's Will Harvey, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds. Now that Harrison knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
