The Knightstown Panthers will be playing at home against the Anderson Prep Academy Jets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Knightstown will be strutting in after a victory while the Jets will be coming in after a defeat.
Knightstown scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Herron at home to the tune of 76-29. The win was a breath of fresh air for Knightstown as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Michael Roberson was his usual excellent self, scoring 33 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Knightstown's points. Another player making a difference was Palmer Newkirk, who scored 18 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Anderson Prep Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They fell 51-42 to Muncie Burris.
Knightstown's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Anderson Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
Knightstown strolled past the Jets when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 65-49. Will Knightstown repeat their success, or do the Jets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
