Simley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the South St. Paul Packers a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Simley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-0 loss against Hill-Murray on the 9th. As for South St. Paul, they have also already played their next match, a 7-6 win against North on the 9th.
