South San Francisco was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Design Tech only posted a batting average of .200.
South San Francisco pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Design Tech, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.
