Pensacola Christian Academy has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They and the Maclay Marauders will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pensacola Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
On Friday, everything went Pensacola Christian Academy's way against the Hoboes as the Warriors made off with a 72-47 victory.
Meanwhile, Maclay's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell 57-45 to Chiles.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Nash Beshears, who scored 14 points. George Grant was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Pensacola Christian Academy pushed their record up to 11-10 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Maclay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.
Pensacola Christian Academy came up short against the Marauders when the teams last played back in January of 2020, falling 71-58. Can Pensacola Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
