The Gorman Panthers will be playing at home against the Bryson Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gorman is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-18, which was the final score in Gorman's tilt against Baird on Friday. While losing is never fun, Gorman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Baird is ranked 99th).
Meanwhile, Bryson put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 44-24 margin over Perrin-Whitt. The win was just what Bryson needed coming off of a 54-8 loss in their prior game.
Gorman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Bryson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Gorman against Bryson in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 57-12 victory. Does Gorman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bryson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
