The Valley Regional Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet the East Hampton Bellringers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Saturday, Valley Regional was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-48 to New Milford.
Conor Quinn put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Driscoll, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, East Hampton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 71-61 to Haddam-Killingworth. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Valley Regional bumped their record down to 1-1 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. As for East Hampton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Valley Regional beat East Hampton 64-51 in their previous meeting back in February. Does Valley Regional have another victory up their sleeve, or will East Hampton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
