This season hasn't been kind to the Duncan Demons, who are still winless after their sixth game. They had to suffer through a rough 51-21 loss at the hands of Madill. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Duncan has scored all season.
Madill's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brylan James, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for James. The team also got some help courtesy of Greg Padgett, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
Duncan bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Madill, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Duncan will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bishop McGuinness at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Madill, they will play host again and welcome Plainview, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Plainview will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Madill is ranked 17th).
