Green Hope (Cary, N.C.) will bypass college in favor of pursuing baseball.
Adams made the announcement via Twitter on Tuesday:
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound receiver/outfielder was tabbed the No. 58 overall football prospect in the Class of 2018 by
247Sports.
Adams caught 54 passes for 1,060 yards and 12 touchdowns last fall for the Green Hope football team. He signed with North Carolina in December and participated in the U.S. Army All-American Game in January.
In 24 games this spring with the Green Hope baseball team, he batted .453 and stole 31 bases. He's viewed as an outfield prospect in the Angels organization.
