The Central Valley Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Atwater Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Thursday, Central Valley was beaten by Patterson 51-6. It was the first time this season that Central Valley let down their fans at home.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Atwater beat Golden Valley 35-29 on Friday.
Atwater's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jesus Avila, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Avila's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Ali Banks jr also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Atwater's victory bumped their season record to 5-4 while Central Valley's loss dropped theirs to 4-4.
Central Valley couldn't quite finish off Atwater in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 and fell 23-20. Can Central Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
