Clearview has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Black River Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Clearview suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Friday. They took a serious blow against Columbia, falling 59-18. Clearview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-15.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-9, which was the final score in Black River's tilt against Keystone on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Black River has scored all season.
Clearview bumped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for Black River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.
Clearview couldn't quite finish off Black River in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 52-49. Will Clearview have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
