The Washington Pam Pack's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by D.H. Conley 69-38. While losing is never fun, Washington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while D.H. Conley is ranked 190th).
D.H. Conley found their leader in underclassman Charlazha Wilson, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Moira Skalak, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds.
Washington's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-6. As for D.H. Conley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Washington will stay at home for another game and welcome Northside - Pinetown at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st. D.H. Conley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Martin County at 6:30 p.m. on December 20th.
