After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Destiny Christian Academy, Dixon was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Rio Linda Knights with a sharp 9-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Dakota Gaball was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
