Edgewood is a perfect 10-0 against Owen Valley since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mustangs will take on the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Edgewood will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Martinsville, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Mustangs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Artesians a 7-0 shutout on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won five contests in a row.

ALLY BLAND made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, ELLA SPROUL was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. LIZZY AUSTIN was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Edgewood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Owen Valley). They were the clear victors by a 20-1 margin over White River Valley on Monday. The Patriots have beaten the Wolverines the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wolverines has come to flipping the script.
Edgewood pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Owen Valley, their record now sits at 9-6.
Edgewood came out on top in a nail-biter against Owen Valley in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
