Despite the loss, Boyd County still got an impressive performance from Cash Sinclair, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 12 points along with seven boards and three blocks. Sinclair is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Charlie Adams was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.
Dylan Gonnerman was a one-man wrecking crew for McCool Junction as he went 8-for-11 on his way to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. That's the most boards Gonnerman has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Colby Yates, who earned nine points and three steals.
Boyd County's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for McCool Junction, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.
