The Barrington Fillies/Broncos put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They were the clear victor by a 45-19 margin over Conant. The result was nothing new for Barrington, who have now won three matches by 26 points or more so far this season.
Dillon Fitzpatrick continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 201 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, and also picking up 32 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Peipert, who threw for 182 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 passes.
Conant's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Matthew Maize, who threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Bradley Biedke, who picked up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Barrington's win was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 9-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.2 points per game. As for Conant, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Barrington will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenbrook South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glenbrook South will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Barrington is ranked sixth). Conant does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
