The Napoleon Wildcats managed to keep up with the Ross Little Giants until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Napoleon's rough 64-44 defeat to Ross might stick with them for a while. Napoleon lost against Ross in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-34 score last time.
Despite the defeat, Napoleon saw an underclassman step up: Chloe Cicero scored 19 points along with 4 steals. Cicero scored a full 43.2% of Napoleon's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Kruse, who scored 9 points.
Napoleon's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ross, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Napoleon will take on Bowling Green at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Bowling Green will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Napoleon is ranked 114th). As for Ross, they will be playing at home against Springfield at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
