In what's become a running theme this season, the Southeast Lancers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Oswego 63-23 on the road. With Southeast ahead 35-5 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southeast to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bella Tavernaro, who scored 13 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tavernaro has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Warner, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Southeast has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Oswego, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast and Uniontown will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Southeast is coming into the match with five straight victories at home, meaning Uniontown will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. Oswego will take on Pleasanton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasanton's defense has only allowed 26.1 points per game this season, so Oswego's offense will have their work cut out for them.
