The Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They had to suffer through a rough 57-18 loss at the hands of Northwood. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bartlett Yancey has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Bartlett Yancey still got an impressive performance from Jazmyne Henderson, who scored 11 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Bartlett Yancey struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Northwood posted 16 assists.
Skylar Adams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northwood, almost dropping a triple-double on 11 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. Adams is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. Another player making a difference was Neah Henry, who scored 11 points.
Bartlett Yancey has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Northwood, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-3.
Bartlett Yancey won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Jets at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st.
