The Lemoore Tigers will square off against the Mission College Prep Royals at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Lemoore sitting on six straight victories and Mission College Prep on five.
Lemoore is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Shafter, sneaking past 5-3.
Sikaya Cancio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Maddison Adams was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylee Vazquez, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Mission College Prep beat Coalinga 7-4 on Wednesday.
Danielle Rivas made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Malia Okimoto, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Leilani Duncan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
Lemoore's win bumped their record up to 21-8-1. As for Mission College Prep, the victory got them back to even at 15-15.
