Milan hasn't had much luck against Westview recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Chargers at 5:30 p.m. Milan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Milan was handed a seven-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They never let Scotts Hill get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory.

Not much got past Camryn Green, who gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks to keep Scotts Hill off the board. Green has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maycee Masters, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, Westview waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 4-0.
McCall Sims made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Sims was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Lakyn Rogers was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Sarah Byars was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases.
Westview's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Milan, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Milan has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Westview struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Milan suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Westview in their previous meeting on Thursday. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
