On Friday, Montgomery County is packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against East Jessamine at 7:30 PM. Montgomery County has the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Montgomery County took care of business in their home opener. They steamrollered Breathitt County 55-18. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-12.
Meanwhile,, East Jessamine couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 12-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lloyd Memorial.
Montgomery County's lifted them to 1-0 while East Jessamine's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Montgomery County can add another positive mark to their record or if East Jessamine can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Montgomery County's step.
