The Chipley Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Sneads Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Chipley got the win against Jay by a conclusive 10-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.
Brantley Kirkland made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Chipley's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Kirkland was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

| 03/10/26 vs Jay | 2 |
| 02/26/26 @ Seminole County | 2 |

| 03/03/26 @ Marianna | 1 |
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ty Gray, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Chipley is 3-1 when Gray posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Callen Scurlock also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Chipley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Sneads made easy work of Altha on Tuesday and carried off an 18-3 victory.
Like Chipley, Sneads also got a great game from a two-way player: Griffin Pickron. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Pickron has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other pitching news, Dylan Chester looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Creed Whitworth was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Conner McSpaddin was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
The win got Chipley back to even at 5-5. As for Sneads, their record is now 11-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Chipley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sneads struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Chipley got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Sneads by a conclusive 15-2 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
