Rockmart had won five straight  games  and  Nate Davis did his part to make it six on Friday. The Yellowjackets enjoyed a cozy  41-27 win over the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors for which the team can thank  Davis, who rushed for 164 yards and three  TDs while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also caught one  score. His rushing production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 116  rushing yards.
 Gavin Green was another key player, picking up 121 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 54 yards.
 One reason for the win was Rockmart's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess:  Cortez Wright and  Ryder Brinkley, who each picked up 1.5  sacks apiece.
Rockmart's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe,  with the  defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.
