Tonopah has struggled against Wells recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Wells found their leader in underclassman Khloe DelRio, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lillian Harney, who scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Tonopah's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Wells, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Tonopah will take on Lund at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Lund is ranked 71st, while Tonopah is ranked 49th). As for Wells, they will be playing at home against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
