If the Carver A&T Wildcats were riding high off their 52-30 takedown of Catholic last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Carver A&T took a hard 45-31 fall against the Comets on Wednesday.
Despite the defeat, Carver A&T saw an underclassman step up: Elisah Guity scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Carrington, who scored eight points.
Carver A&T's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Catonsville, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-7.
Carver A&T will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. Western Tech & Environmental Science is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Catonsville, they will head out on the road to face off against the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Patapsco is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
