Paityn Sly, Gila Bend's leader in runs on the season, led the team again on Thursday. Sly was dialed in as she scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She was dominant the last time she took on Berean Academy last Tuesday, so they probably should've seen this coming. Sly is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Looking ahead, Sly and Gila Bend will venture away from home to challenge Thunderbird Adventist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
