Bishop Kenny sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over Bishop Moore on Saturday. Bishop Kenny let Abby Jackson and Abby Satkoff run wild. Jackson went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Satkoff went 2-for-4 with one home run. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Serra, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Bishop Kenny lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Episcopal School of Jacksonville not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8, 2024. They blew past Clay 12-2. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Emily Davidson and Amelia Oreair did most of the damage at the plate: Davidson went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Oreair went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance gave Davidson a new career-high in hits. Kenzie Ranalli was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
Bishop Kenny's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, their record is now 7-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Bishop Kenny hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Episcopal School of Jacksonville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
