The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Trinity got a massive performance out of Cale Boarman, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI Boarman has posted since back in March of 2025. Grant Howard was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Trinity always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, McLean County was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to Owensboro. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
McLean County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Lynam, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Trinity's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for McLean County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Trinity has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like McLean County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
