After five games on the road, Temecula Prep is heading back home. They will take on the Edgewood Lions at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Temecula Prep had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. The result kept Temecula Prep happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 8th.
Meanwhile, Edgewood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Glendale Adventist a 5-0 shutout. Give Edgewood's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Temecula Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5-2 record this season. As for Edgewood, they pushed their record up to 16-3-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
