Horn Lake lost against Southaven back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Horn Lake Eagles fell just short of the Southaven Chargers by a score of 52-50. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Southaven got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayven Welch out in front who posted 12 points and three steals. Marquise Rice Jr was another key player, putting up six points and nine rebounds.

Horn Lake's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Southaven, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-5.

Horn Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 100-58 victory against North Panola on the 14th. Southaven and Rosa Fort will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Rosa Fort's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
