On the hitting side, Zorre Wright was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Wesley Chapel: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 13-14 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dylan Pabon, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Wesley Chapel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
For the second game in a row, fans were treated to another clash between #41 Lincoln and #34 Niceville. The Trojans blew past the Eagles 12-3 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.
Beau Woodson looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, Lincoln let Lucas Cannady and Chase Fuller run wild. Cannady went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Fuller went 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs. That's the most stolen bases Cannady has posted since back in March. Nate Dietz was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs.
Wesley Chapel is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Lincoln, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-10.
