Adams County Christian added to the longest winning streak in MAIS AA District 5 this week by beating Glenbrook, 70-48. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Rebels.
Prentiss Christian and Wayne Academy played the most contested game in the league this week, with Prentiss Christian eventually emerging with a 15-12 victory.
Adams County Christian's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Stockstill threw for 158 and 2 touchdowns and Lester Wells had 117 yards receiving. On the ground Torrey Smith contributed 160 yards. Carlos Woods helped Adams County Christian's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 31 yards.

Smith was a passing and rushing force as the Rebels bested Glenbrook. Smith's key target this week was Wells, who caught 4 passes for 117 yards.
Brookhaven Academy's Heath Hickman and Jacob Thurman led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Hickman has thrown for 865 yards this season, while Thurman has 23 catches for 303 yards. Smith from Adams County Christian leads the league in rushing with 530 yards.
A big matchup in MAIS AA District 5 this week will be when Amite takes on the Rebels. The Rebels are currently in fourth, while Adams County Christian is in first.
The Cougars lost to Simpson Academy 47-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Brye Foster in the defeat.
