Basketball Recap: Greenwood's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

Greenwood lost against Susquenita back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Greenwood Wildcats took a 68-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Susquenita Blackhawks. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (55), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Susquenita's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dylan Trimmer, who went 7 of 15 en route to 23 points and six rebounds. The game was Trimmer's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Schoppy, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks.

Greenwood moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Susquenita, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Greenwood has already played their next match, a 53-44 victory against Newport on the 28th. As for Susquenita, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-32 win against West Perry on the 28th.
