Thomas Doxtader Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Lee Williams had to settle for second even though Thomas Doxtader put up the best numbers he has all season. Doxtader picked up 141 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 80 yards and a touchdown. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 85 yards.
Lee Williams is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Doxtader and Lee Williams will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Flagstaff at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Fernando Ramirez Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Coconino was led to victory by Fernando Ramirez, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Ramirez rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (110) per game.
The victory got Coconino back to even at 3-3. Ramirez and Coconino will challenge Apache Junction at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Colton Buckingham Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
On Friday, Coconino got the W thanks in part to Colton Buckingham playing the best football he has all season. Buckingham threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 68 yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
If the past is any indication, Buckingham could be in store for another big game when he takes on Apache Junction on Friday. Buckingham threw for 196 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 passes the last time he and the Prospectors duked it out back in October of 2023.

Big Game from Quinn As Lee Williams Fell 49-26
Another Lee Williams player making an appearance on this list is Morgan Quinn. He threw for 260 yards and three touchdowns.
For the season, Quinn has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 196.3 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 22.03 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 92.34 passer rating.

On Friday, Coconino got the W thanks in part to Ethan Jeffs playing the best football he has all season. Jeffs picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 55 yards.
For the year, Jeffs has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 40.2 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 17.33 receiving yards per game.
