The Westerville North Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Hilliard Bradley Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Westerville North will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Friday, Westerville North's game was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 31-28 victory over Lancaster.
Westerville North got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kayden Childress out in front who rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Childress' longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards. Another player making a difference was Ronald Jackson, who threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Hilliard Bradley got themselves on the board against Newark on Friday, but Newark never followed suit. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over the Wildcats. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Hilliard Bradley's seven-point performance the matchup before.
Hilliard Bradley can attribute much of their success to Bradyn Fleharty, who threw for 138 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Their wins bumped Westerville North to 9-2 and Hilliard Bradley to 10-1.
Westerville North took a serious blow against Hilliard Bradley in their previous meeting back in October of 2015, falling 35-0. Can Westerville North avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
