The biggest upset of the week belonged to Whetstone, who took down 437th ranked East, 26-20.
Brookhaven extended the longest winning streak in Columbus City - North this week by beating Linden-McKinley, 35-8. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Bearcats.
Beechcroft's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Maurice Hale has thrown for 1371 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Khaleed Franklin has 29 catches for 583 yards. Hale also leads the league in rushing with 720 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Beechcroft takes on the Tigers. At the moment, the Cougars are in first, while East is in fifth.
The Braves moved up to 472 from 533 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Columbus City - North. Whetstone climbed the ranks as a result of a 26-20 win over Lewis Carter's team.
