Downey extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Madeline Garcia. The Vikings blew past the Troy Warriors, posting a 27-0 victory thanks in part to Garcia, who threw for 194 yards and three TDs while completing 81% of her passes, and also rushed for 51 yards. Her passing game has become a key predictor of Downey's success: the team is 6-1 when her passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

Downey didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Geneva Serrano and Chloe Cotton.

Downey's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Troy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Downey wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 32-0 victory against Westminster on the 27th. As for Troy, they have also already played their next game, a 41-0 loss against San Clemente on the 27th.
