After a string of four wins, the Heritage Christian Patriots's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost to Abundant Life on the road by a decisive 82-64 margin. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mike Bowen Jr., who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Bowen Jr. is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Robinson, who scored 13 points along with three steals.

Heritage Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Living Word Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on February 6th. Heritage Christian is on a five-game streak of home wins, Living Word Lutheran a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Abundant Life, they will head out on the road to face off against Williams Bay at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Abundant Life is facing Williams Bay at the right time seeing as Williams Bay is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
