The Circleville Tigers put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Bloom-Carroll 51-34. Given Circleville's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Bloom-Carroll is ranked 111th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bloom-Carroll lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chuck Conrad, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Emily Bratton, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Circleville's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for Bloom-Carroll, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record this season.
Circleville will be playing in front of their home fans against Amanda-Clearcreek at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bloom-Carroll, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairfield Union at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
