The Woodland Beavers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a rough 61-40 loss at the hands of Washougal. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Woodland has suffered since December 26, 2023.
Washougal had a senior duo take command as Holden Bea scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and five steals and Mather Minnis scored 11 points along with seven steals and six assists. Minnis also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Alex Frost, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Woodland has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Washougal, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodland will take on R.A. Long at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. R.A. Long is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Washougal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Vancouver at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
