West Noble is 7-2 against Eastside since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The West Noble Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Eastside Blazers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
West Noble can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Churubusco 34-31. The victory was just what West Noble needed coming off of a 61-32 defeat in their prior match.
West Noble's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alayna C DeLong, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Alexia Mast was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Eastside had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 victory over Angola. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Eastside has posted since November 7, 2023.
West Noble's victory bumped their record up to 2-16. As for Eastside, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.
West Noble lost to Eastside on the road by a decisive 56-37 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can West Noble avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
