Everything went Oak Ridge's way against Osceola on Wednesday as Oak Ridge made off with a 113-89 victory. Oak Ridge's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Jalen Reece, who scored 24 points along with eight assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Tyler Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
Despite the loss, Osceola saw an underclassman step up: Luke Mccrimon scored 32 points. Mccrimon has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Mason, who scored 20 points along with two steals.
Oak Ridge pushed their record up to 18-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 95.7 points per game. As for Osceola, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Ridge will take on Olympia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Olympia has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 265 points over their last four contests. As for Osceola, they will head out on the road to take on Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 335th, while Osceola is ranked 131st).
