Tuscarawas Valley had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Waynedale Golden Bears 21-20. A big part of Tuscarawas Valley's win came down to the chemistry between Beckam Himes and his top target Brody May. Himes rushed for 31 yards and a pair of TDs while May picked up 121 receiving yards and one score. Those 31 rushing yards gave Himes a new career-high.
