Baseball Recap: Spring Hill Gets the Win

Spring Hill won the last time they faced Lewis County and things went their way on Friday too. The Spring Hill Raiders walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Lewis County Panthers.

Spring Hill got a great performance from Dalton Resta as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Spring Hill let William Bailey and Nick Bolton run wild. Bailey went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one double, while Bolton scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That hit marked the first that Bailey got this season. Another player making a difference was Gary Cox, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Spring Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis County only posted a batting average of .200.

Spring Hill's record is now 3-1. As for Lewis County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring Hill will square off against White House-Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Spring Hill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season. As for Lewis County, they will take on Summit at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
