The Buchanan Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Clovis North Broncos at 16:00 p.m. on Friday. Clovis North took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Buchanan, who comes in off a win.
After only six points in their last match, Buchanan made sure to put some points up on the board against Clovis on Thursday. Buchanan claimed a resounding 41-7 win over Clovis on the road. The result was nothing new for Buchanan, who have now won three games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Buchanan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gannon Sever out in front who rushed for 168 yards while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Sever was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. Tucker Poulson also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Clovis North's game on Thursday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clovis West.
Buchanan now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Clovis North, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2-1.
