The Seminole Ridge Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Glades Central. Seminole Ridge has not had much luck with Glades Central recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Seminole Ridge still got an impressive performance from Calvin Warren, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Warren is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Elliot Petit-Frere, who scored six points along with four steals.
Seminole Ridge's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-13. As for Glades Central, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seminole Ridge will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Boca Raton at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Boca Raton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Seminole Ridge likes a good challenge. As for Glades Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Clewiston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
